STR closing East Windsor CT facility

(1/24/13) Solar panel encapsulant manufacturers STR Holdings, Inc. will close its new 275,000 SF facility by the end of this quarter. The company purchased 96 Newberry Road, East Windsor CT in 2011 to consolidate its US operations. The loss of its top costumer, First Solar, Inc. necessitates the need for STR to restructure and eliminate a large portion of its workforce.
