Hartford CT Industrial Vacancy at 8.9%

According to a recent CoStar Group report, the Hartford CT industrial market ended 2014 with an 8.9% vacancy rate (as compared to a 7.2% vacancy rate in the US). Net absorption was 110,332 square feet. The report says that there is 1,592,000 square feet under construction (much of that attributed to the Amazon building in Windsor CT).

Overall, quality industrial space availability continues to tighten in the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts region. New construction projects slated for South Windsor and Bloomfield illustrate just how difficult it is to find large (50,000 SF plus), high bay, distribution and manufacturing space in this region.
