CT Continues to Benefit From Changes to the Supply Chain

Interesting article from SupermarketNews.com re: Ahold Delhaize USA’s changes in how it handles the supply chain to its stores. “Self-Distribution” has created the need for more DC’s as well as frozen food space. Connecticut and the southern New England region have been a big benefactor (not just Ahold…Amazon, Home Depot, etc. etc. etc.). Previously announced area expansions in CT have happened because of these changes in supply chain management. 1M SF in the former JC Penney DC in Manchester CT.  500,000 SF new frozen food facility in Plainville CT!
