China Railway Rolling Stock breaks ground in Springfield MA

China Railway Rolling Stock Corp. has recently broke ground on its 220,000 square foot, $60 million facility in Springfield MA. The facility, being constructed on 40 acres of former Westinghouse owned land, will be used to manufacture 284 subway cars for the MBTA. The company previously purchased the land for $12M.
